about me
KIA ORA, TENA KOE
If you haven't captured my name yet, I'm T, short for Te Teira Rakete. I am 22 yrs of age. I am from New Zealand Aotearoa and my culture is Pacific Maori. I come from a small town called Kaikohe which is the heart of Ngapuhi in the North Island. I have a real big family say 6 brothers, 5 sisters and two loving parents. I am the youngest in my family and i am a twin as-well so I wasn't born alone. My life stories and experiences have been really interesting, that's how I can explain it.
I did go through the ups and downs, left hook, right hook, detours, been in trouble with the law etc, but I did learn from all my own mistakes. I still make mistakes till this day but continue to learn from them. I see myself as very helpful, humble, I'm very much an outdoor person and my fitness is in a healthy state. I have had a lot of working experiences like, scrap metal, t-tree fire wood, house removals, k.f.c restaurant, embroidery clothes printing, seasonal jobs and some building construction experience, enough to know the basics.

hunting and gathering
Outdoor activities is something I enjoy doing a lot from building to creating, motor biking to horse riding, hunting to fishing, you name it we do it. My plan for the outdoors is to record everything I do to enjoy New Zealand or anywhere.
family/friends
Here is some photo's where me and my family got the privilege to show another culture how we Māori in New Zealand live.
This lovely culture we welcomed are a very humbled, strong but sensitive culture, the Japanese people. We let them stay in our marae's for three weeks with a Māori welcoming, catered for them with Māori food and showed them the history of our people/tupuna. We told them beautiful stories and songs of our culture and spirituality and how we connect to our gods. I was the photographer for this event so I hope you enjoy these pictures.
